What is Power Flushing?

  • A straightforward process designed to eliminate the problems associated with old boiler and heating systems.

How long does it take?

  • Approx. 4 hours

What happens?

  • The pump or radiator is removed to isolate the system so that the water condition can be checked.
  • The power flushing unit and magnetic unit are connected to the central heating system. The magnetic filter removes metal particles.
  • The system is cleaned with fresh water to remove any loose debris.
  • Clean water and cleaning chemicals are finally run through the system.
  • Radiators are turned off and each one cleaned by flushing back and forth to remove sludge etc.
  • While cleaning the radiators, infra red equipment is used to ensure the radiators are working efficiently.
  • After system is cleaned, the dirty water is drained and clean water flushed through.
  • The power flushing unit and magnetic filter are removed.
  • Corrosion inhibitor is added to the system for protection.
  • Finally the system is run in order to check heating performance.
